OUT REACH AT OKPOROJO HELD ON 28TH – 31ST JULY 2022
1.0 INTRODUCTION
We thank God for a successful outreach at okporojo, Ebonyi state. The land called okporojo has only one entrance to the village and at the entrance gate comes their shrine and alters which anyone entering the village must pass through. The nature of the buildings there are the same and their major occupation is farming and petty trading. The hardship in the community is so obvious which made no proper education for the children and the spiritual atmosphere is so dark. Their youths have no other means of survival except
farming.
The outreach team which involved 3 people from TETMI, 2 invitees and 3 missionaries from
another community ruined an indoor night crusade with film show, gospel preaching and prayer
ministrations. There was discipleship class for some of the church leaders and follow up class for the
new converts, special seminar and skill acquisition for young girls and strengthening the faith of the
believers within the community was ruined in the day time for the period of days we spent there.
There was series of testimonies ranging from healings, deliverance, changed life and salvation. New people joined in the Sunday service which some converted from their churches to EMC.
We met a young guy who was intelligent but under the influence of the demons in the land. The word of God was preached to him but the demons in him didn’t allow him to give his life to Christ which would have been the only way that he would have been delivered from the demons molesting him. Miss Comfort who matched charm and had a swollen leg before we went for the outreach, gave testimony for God’s healing process on her leg, that her leg that was so big started drying up. A new convert also gave
testimony on how God helped her and change her from transferring aggression to her children
through the film show.
We met Chief Ignatius Chukwu, one of the chiefs in Okporojo, who denounced the idolatrous lifestyle
of the community and surrendered to Jesus Christ. He has for long had contact with TETMI starting
from when the late president of TETMI was frequently the area for the gospel sake During the course
of our ministration, he opened up on the state of his wife’s health who had been under serious
spiritual spell for one year. She was neither healthy nor dead. We were moved with passion and we visited the woman who was on a very pitiable situation. We lead her to confess her sins to Jesus Christ and we prayed for Jesus to come into her life, disconnected her from the strong holds that have kept her in such bondage and we also anointed her husband for a continuous heartfelt prayer for her.
We got a call when we arrived at Owerri that she has passed on and we gave praise to God for using us to lead her to Christ, delivering her and her family.
On our departure from the village, we amidst a waterlog on the road which was caused due to bad road and the heavy rain, crossing the waterlog led to the damage of Mr Peter’s motorcycle. The people of okporojo that doesn’t like the light we brought to their community came to attack us on our way with accident, severe headache, heart pain and swollen head. Thanks to God he heard our prayers and settled the situation.
-
ATTENDANCE OF THE CRUSADE.
The church auditorium was filled up with people on the first day. As the word of God was preached to them and healings took place that attracted many people to the program on the second day to the points that there were no more chairs for them to sit but they happily stood up to hear the word of God.
New members came to worship with us on Sunday and they promised to become EMC
members. There was discipleship training on some of the church leaders and follow up
section for the new converts.
Many souls were worn for God which some converted from their different churches to
EMC.
1.5. CHALLENGIES.
Due to poor educational background of the children and the youth, I found it
difficult to communicate with the children and the youth during teaching.
1.6. RECOMMENDATION.
-
I suggest that skill acquisition should be introduced to the youth to enable them get exposed to other means of livlihood than depending only on the farm work.
-
No schools in okporojo and that is really affecting the children, some of the children have not for one day visited the school premises, I then suggest that scholarship should be given to the children that their parent cannot afford their education, then for those that their parent can afford their education but no means of locating any school, I suggest that school bus should be introduced.
-
I suggest that there should be constant prayer to the community of Okporojo to liberate the youth and next generation from the present calamity and darkness.
Also I suggest that there should be visitation from time to time to Okporojo to encourage and disciple them.
1.7. CONCLUSION.
Thanks to God Almighty for making the outreaches go successfully and also brought us back safely despite the challenges on our way. May God bless all who prayed for us and stood by us all through the outreach.

In partnership with Partners International, TETMI is beginning the funding of a new poultry farm. The purpose of the poultry farm is to provide a local funding platform that will make TETMI more robust as an organization and better able to achieve its objectives through local resourcefulness. An indicator that this goal is being achieved will be the increase in locally generated funding available year on year through the project. There are a number of anticipated outcomes, including that TETMI will be a stronger partner for its Canadian mission partners, with capacity to manage and do more together

In December, TETMI reached out to the people of UMUNKPOR in Isiala Ngwa I.g.a of ABIA STATE. They saw salvation of many and we have a follow up program for them. We also began a discipleship program for passionate believers who would love to grow in their walk with God. There was a special prayer time to meet the spiritual needs of the people, and special times for the Youth to gather together as well.
We humbly ask that you join us in prayer and support for this exciting project!

Let's Make A Change
Here are some ways you can donate:
This training has brought a hunger in me and that is the hunger to Know What Is God’s purpose for creating me and making me His child. I resolve to give myself to finding and doing that purpose, so that I may be fulfilled.

Beside is a picture of TETMI Nursery/Primary School pupils Akaeze, Ebonyi State who recently lost their parents and are left with their old grandmother who is struggling to survive the life in this rural missionary village.

Their father died in a ghastly car accident while their mum died recently out of protracted and long illness. There is no further hope for their continuing education which is a fundamental thing to life in this generation. Their day to day living now depends so much on what their old grandmother will be able to produce from the farm, what of other issues like wears, toiletries, and health.

Should these children be deprived of education and true-life living? Or could their life also count for eternity.? If yes, then let’s show God’s love to them as TETMI calls on you to help and adopt one or the three for a scholarship. They are of the same parents.
